The left-sided North Macedonian joined the Whites in July 2017 and has since gone on to play an integral part under Marcelo Bielsa and the Whites’ return to the Premier League after 16 years away.
He’s played 17 times in the top-flight this season – mostly at left-back – though the 28-year-old wouldn’t be mistaken for not feeling completely settled.
It has been widely reported that Alioski is out-of-contract this summer. The expectation is he’d extend his stay at Elland Road, however reports in Turkey are suggesting otherwise.
According to Fotospor, as highlighted by Sport Witness, Alioski has not agreed a new deal with the Whites “because he had reached a principle agreement with Galatasaray”.
The report explains Leeds’ links to Marseille left-back Jordan Amavi, who is also out-of-contract at the end of the season, although it has been played down in France.
The 18-year-old, despite his young age, has made 16 appearances in the Scottish Premiership this season. He’s also attracted interest from Manchester City and Celtic,
Doig, who is said to be valued at around £1million, has previously been linked to Arsenal, Chelsea, Sunderland and Stoke City.
He’d certainly be one for the future but as Bielsa has shown during his three seasons in West Yorkshire, the Argentine is more than willing to give youth a chance.
That’s where Leeds are tipped to have the advantage over Man City as they’d likely offer him a quicker route to first-team football.
Erick Pulgar is a name that won’t go away this month – and further reports in Italy mention Leeds.
Here’s a round-up of some of the other transfer rumours involving Leeds and their Premier League rivals this morning:
