A new £1m makeover at a Colton care home has been unveiled to the local community.
* Click here to sign up to free news and sport email alerts from Cross Gates Today.Visitors to Colton Lodges enjoyed entertainment from local singer Loretta Scott and the improvements were officially opened by the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Leeds, Coun and Mrs Frank Robinson.
Additional wings have been added to two of the purpose-built houses at the home so it can now care for eight new residents with dementia and a further 10 with nursing needs - bringing the total capacity of the home to 138.
The work at Colton Lodges was funded by BUPA as part of the company's commitment to improve standards of care for older people in the UK.
