Inspired by a forthcoming exhibition at the Tate Modern, the Colton Mill Harvester is offering guests the chance to see if they can produce art from salad.
The pub and grill on Selby Road wants customers who feel they have what it takes to attend a special Harvester Art exhibition, on Friday, May 23.

The 'make-a-salad' event at the Tate Modern on Saturday, May 24, is looking to blur the line between art and everyday activity.

Alison Rowles will chop, mix and dress a giant salad to the music of Mozart and then serve it up to 300 people.

Inspired by the event restaurant manager Carl Smith believes that when it comes to preparing salad Harvester are the true experts.

Carl said: "We have always viewed making fresh salad as an art, so, while many people might think that it's another example of the art world gone mad, we feel it is only right to celebrate the event.

"Now, we want to hear from the people of Colton who feel they can produce a masterpiece from the ingredients of our salad cart – if you think you have what it takes contact us by emailing art@harvester.co.uk."
