Cross Gates councillors pledge to fight for parking facilities

Cross Gates councillors have pledged to do all they can to prevent the area "falling off the radar" as part of plannned parking changes.
Cross Gates Today revealed Cross Gates has been identified as a priority area by council chiefs for improved parking.

The community is one of ten areas to be the focus of a parking blueprint.

Crossgates and Whinmoor Labour councillors Peter Gruen, Pauleen Grahame
and Suzi Armitage said in a joint statement: "While we welcome the fact
that this review recognises there is a massive issue with car parking in the centre of Cross Gates it's what happens next that is the most important.

"We will do all we can to make sure that Cross Gates is not allowed to fall off the radar as part of this strategy so we can get the level of parking facilities that this area deserves."
