Manston Guides have proved that girls really do just wanna have fun, as they delivered an all singing, all dancing show for residents and local councillors.

Councillors Peter Gruen and Pauleen Grahame, who provide the guides with a regular donation from their MICE funds, thoroughly enjoyed the show, which included hits such as Dancing Queen, Manic Monday and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.

Both councillors congratulated the guides on their performance, and highlighted the importance of the hard working supervisors who give up their valuable time for the girls every week.

Councillor Peter Gruen (Lab, Crossgates & Whinmoor Ward) told Cross Gates Today: "The stars of X-factor had better watch out – there is a lot of talent at Manston Guides! I want to thank the girls for inviting us along to such a great show.

"Groups like this help young people to build their confidence, learn about their own potential and challenge themselves. And most importantly they can do that while having fun. That is why we regularly support Manston Guides with MICE donations. "

Councillor Pauleen Grahame (Lab, Crossgates & Whinmoor) added: "What a wonderful show! It was great to see girls' hard work pay off. We thoroughly enjoyed it and are already looking forward to the next one!"
