Temple Newsam estate: Photography competition will showcase beauty
Entries are now being accepted in a photographic competition which aims to showcase the beauty of the Temple Newsam estate.
Submissions must comprise four pictures taken on the estate, one in each of the competition's 'architecture', 'animals', 'plants' and 'people' categories. Entry forms are available from Temple Newsam's reception, shop, cafe or house.
They can also be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to Howard Andrews, 31 Hillcrest Drive, Castleford WF10 3QW.
Organised by the Friends of Temple Newsam Park, the competition has three age groups – up to and including 11, 12 to 17 and 18 and over. Closing date is August 31 and cash prizes are on offer for the winners.
