Public Health England (PHE) said there had been 35,204 more cases since last week to reach a total of 111,157 – a 46 per cent increase.
Leeds recorded an infection rate of 283.7 in the seven days to June 23, the latest available figures. That's up 42.4 per cent from the previous week.
But some neighbourhoods have much lower infection rates.
