From this Saturday (August 1), the clockwise exit slip road at junction 7 will be shut for barrier work from 6am until 6pm on Saturday and Sunday. Highways England said the work, which is weather permitting, is being carried out in the day to minimise disruption for nearby residents. It is due to finish on Sunday, September 20. There will be clearly-signed diversions in place for drivers to follow over the next eight weekends. Highways England said strict safeguarding measures will be in place on site to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
